1. Information We Collect
ProfitShark collects information you provide directly, including your name, email address, and payment information when you register for an account. We also collect spreadsheet data you upload for analysis, including UPC codes, product descriptions, and cost information. We do not store your Amazon seller credentials beyond what is necessary to authenticate API requests.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use your information to provide and improve the ProfitShark service, process your subscription payments, send you service-related communications, and analyze product profitability on your behalf using Amazon SP-API. We do not sell your personal information or your product data to third parties.
3. Data Storage and Security
Your data is stored on secure servers hosted by Railway. Scan results and purchase orders are retained until you delete them or close your account. We use industry-standard encryption for data in transit (HTTPS) and at rest. Payment processing is handled by Stripe and we do not store your full credit card details.
4. Third-Party Services
ProfitShark integrates with the following third-party services to deliver its functionality:
- Amazon SP-API — for real-time fee calculations and brand approval status
- Stripe — for subscription billing and payment processing
Each of these services has its own privacy policy governing how they handle data.
5. Cookies
ProfitShark uses session cookies to keep you logged in. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies. You can disable cookies in your browser settings but this will prevent you from logging in.
6. Your Rights
You may request deletion of your account and all associated data at any time by contacting us. You may also export your scan history and purchase orders using the Export Excel feature before closing your account.
